Is the Lenovo ThinkPad X390 Intel Core i5 8th Gen Laptop new or refurbished?

It is refurbished — a Grade A Certified pre-owned Lenovo business laptop. It passed a 50-point inspection before it was listed, it is fully functional, cosmetic wear is minimal, and its battery health is measured at 80% or better rather than described in adjectives.

How much does the Lenovo ThinkPad X390 Intel Core i5 8th Gen Laptop cost in the UAE?

AED 790, delivered anywhere in the United Arab Emirates. Payment is by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, taken securely online before dispatch.

Is the warranty valid if I go back to India?

Yes. The 12-month NewAsNew Assured Warranty is honoured in the UAE and India. A laptop bought in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah stays covered when its owner travels to or relocates to India. As far as we know, no other refurbished laptop seller covers both countries.

Can I see photos of the actual Lenovo ThinkPad X390 Intel Core i5 8th Gen Laptop before I pay?

Yes. Ask on WhatsApp and we send photos and a short video of the exact unit reserved for you — screen at full brightness, keyboard, ports, hinges and the battery health screen — before any money changes hands.

Can I order without a UAE mobile number?

Yes. Checkout accepts a mobile number registered in any country, so someone in their first week in the UAE on an Indian, Pakistani or Filipino SIM can order normally, and we send updates to that WhatsApp number.

What is included with the Lenovo ThinkPad X390 Intel Core i5 8th Gen Laptop?

The laptop, its original charger and power cord, an itemised commercial invoice, and the NewAsNew Assured Warranty. Delivery is to all seven emirates, and there is a 14-day return window if it is not what you expected.

Is the battery covered by the warranty?

Every laptop has its battery health measured and printed on its own product page, at 80% or better, and that measured figure is exactly what you are buying — a number you can hold us to, rather than a word like "good". Batteries are consumables that wear with every charge cycle, so the 12-month warranty covers the laptop itself. If a unit ever arrives below the health stated on its listing, it does not match its description, and that is covered.

Is the charger covered?

Every laptop ships with a charger that has been tested and confirmed working as one of the 50 points. Chargers and cables are consumables, so the 12-month warranty covers the laptop itself — and if one ever arrives faulty, we replace it.

What exactly does the warranty cover?

The laptop itself for 12 months — motherboard, screen, keyboard, trackpad, ports, speakers, webcam, fans, hinges, storage and memory — against hardware faults in normal use, with free collection anywhere in the UAE and a claim you can make in the UAE or in India. So that you know exactly where you stand, the warranty does not extend to physical or liquid damage, the battery, the charger and other accessories, software, or repairs carried out by someone else.

Quick Guide

Not sure which RAM & storage to pick?

Here's a no-nonsense guide based on real-world usage. Pick what fits your work — nothing more, nothing less.

Memory (RAM)

RAM determines how many things your laptop can do at once without slowing down.

8 GB

Everyday use. Browsing, email, MS Office, Zoom calls, watching videos, light photo edits. If you usually keep 8–10 browser tabs open and don't run heavy software, this is enough.

16 GB

Comfortable for most. 20+ browser tabs, multitasking with Excel + Chrome + Slack + Zoom, programming, light video editing (1080p), Photoshop, casual gaming. The version most people don't regret.

32 GB

Power users. 4K video editing, 3D rendering, virtual machines, large datasets, AAA gaming, AI/ML workloads. Get this only if you actually do these — otherwise it's overkill.

Storage (SSD)

Storage is where your files, apps, and OS live. Modern SSDs make laptops feel fast.

256 GB

Cloud-first lifestyle. If you store most things on Google Drive / OneDrive / iCloud and don't keep large local files, 256 GB is fine. Tight for installing many apps + games though.

512 GB

Reasonable headroom. Comfortable for typical users — documents, hundreds of photos, a handful of games, some movies offline. Won't fill up in a hurry.

1 TB+

Heavy local files. Large game libraries, RAW photos, video editing projects, virtual machines, big datasets. If your work involves files larger than 50 GB regularly, this saves headaches.

One thing worth knowing: RAM and SSD on most laptops can't be upgraded later (especially MacBooks — they're soldered). It's wiser to spend slightly more now than to feel stuck a year later. That said, don't pay for what you won't use either.
